Cross の Pubo Train Station
Original Text
It is a little far from JR Taketoyo station. The starting point of the Taketoyo Line, which was built as a material transportation line to the main railway, where former 々 Taketoyo Station was located. Later, it was used as Taketoyo Port Station until 1965. The turntable has a rail on the cross to increase efficiency. This type of turntable is only left here. It is registered as a national registered tangible cultural property. For those who are not interested in railways, it will not be a tourist attraction.
Those who like railways may be pleased, but those who are not interested will end with "Fu ~ hmm." However, it is unusual that this turntable was discovered during a social tour of elementary school students since the beginning of Heisei.
It's certainly unusual and I've never seen it anywhere else, but I didn't really know the value because I don't like railways. People who live nearby or who like railways may come.
The turning table pocket park had a roof on the turning table, and it was in good condition, and the explanation board was polite. There was also a bench because it was a park. Unfortunately, there is no space to park your car. If it's a pocket park, you still need a parking space.
I stayed in Taketoyo Town on a business trip and passed by this front every day by commuting. I was worried that it was Nanika, so I visited. It is at the corner of the intersection. Adjacent to a private house, the parking lot is not clear. It is said to be a famous remains in history. I've seen various things, including large and small, but this is the first time I've seen a crossing type. According to the information board, the remains that had been forgotten for a long time were accidentally discovered and culturally valued and restored.
