Dayun Temple

According to historical records, Dayun Temple was built in the Zhenguan years of the Tang Dynasty, destroyed in the early Ming Dynasty in the Bingyu, the new temple was built in the west gate of Qingshunzhi, and the two Zhizhous were greatly increased in the Guangxu years. The ancient archway should be built in this period. It was the first archway at the west gate of Shangzhou at that time. There was also an ancient opera house opposite. It is no longer there. This ancient archway is the only wooden archway in Shangzhou City, with high cultural relics. After reviewing the materials of Luo Siwen's "Continue Shangzhou Zhi" in the Qing Dynasty, experts concluded that the archway is at least 250 years old.

It is very cultural value and is the theoretical basis of Wu Zetian's rule in the Tang Dynasty. Dayun Temple is a special temple in a special era, because of a special event; the creation of this temple is related to a special woman, she is a generation of Queen Wu Zetian. In 690 AD, he had been a queen and queen, and he wanted to be emperor and sought suitable reasons. With the help of Feng Xiaobao, a monk at Luoyang White Horse Temple, he found a book of "Dayun Sutra", which read "Maitreya is a queen and a domination of the world". They used these words to promote the "Yi Shi Revolution", saying that Wu Zetian is "Maitreya, contemporary Tang Dynasty master of the Futi master". So they changed Tang to Zhou, became a female emperor, and the two Beijing states built Dayun Temple, recited the Dayun Sutra, and preached "God of King Power". For a time, Dayun Temple was built in all the counties of the country. Shangzhou belonged to the "place of Beijing and Chang'an in the west", and the Dayun Temple was quite spectacular. It was facing Danjiang in front, and Jinfeng Mountain behind it, half in the city, half outside the city; the name of the temple outside the city, the name of the temple in the city.

Today, there is no incense, but there was once a quadrangle jungle temple, and the Shangluo Museum together.

The Greater Temple of Shangluo is located in the city of Shangluo City, built in the Tang Dynasty (690 AD). The existing Greater Temple area is 8,000 square meters, and the four great halls are basically maintained in their original appearance. It is now a provincial key cultural relics protection unit.
