Secret Garden, a World Cultural Heritage site
📝Korean Travelogue part6: The Secret Garden of Changdeokgung Palace📝
🖼️🖼️🖼️🖼️
The Secret Garden, also known as the Rear Garden, is the backyard of Changdeokgung Palace, one of the five grand palaces in Seoul. It reminds me a bit of a mini version of the Old Summer Palace. Due to strict admission control, the vegetation is very well-maintained, and there's a sense of tranquility when touring around. When taking photos, you can capture pure landscapes without many people in them. The downside is that you can't freely roam around; you must follow the official guided tour of the park, and there's not much time for you to compose and focus to take beautiful pictures😂

The scenery is truly beautiful, worthy of being called the most beautiful garden in Korea. At this time, the leaves are all green, which makes one look forward to its appearance in autumn and winter. I want to visit again to see the different seasonal looks of the garden in the fall🍁, winter❄️, and spring🌸.

Splendid colours to be viewed during autumn as they allow more visitors into the garden during autumn.
The back garden must be led by a commentator to visit, from 8 am to 4 pm, half an hour. Changde Palace was built in accordance with the "front and back city" of Zhou Li. The palace is built north to south, but unlike the Jingfu Palace, which is built strictly according to the central axis, but is arranged from west to east according to the terrain design. The palace complex of Changde Palace, rebuilt in 2004, the original building was destroyed during the Japanese occupation. So it looks particularly new. Before I came to Changde Palace, I thought that the back garden and the Imperial Garden of the Forbidden City were similar. After a round, I experienced much more than the Royal Garden. It was a masterpiece of traditional classical gardens. No wonder it was a world cultural heritage. There are pine and cypress in the back garden, there are maple trees, and autumn must be a scene of the mixed sky reflecting the red maple.
Changdeokgung Huwon Secret Garden There are many trees and plants and the garden is well maintained. This is an ideal place to view the attractions. Walking distance from the Moon Park and the trails is good 〜 especially at sunset!
Changde Palace Houyuan, is the back garden of the emperor, with trees shaded inside and lotus pond pavilion. The tour guide said that Seoul can come 6 times a year to see the lotus flowers and maple leaves. Think about the beauty of the maple leaves. If it is all red, how shocking, The brochure is the most beautiful Changde Palace back garden of maple leaves.
Changde Palace and Changqing Palace are next to each other, and the impression is a palace for the elderly of the Queen Mother. A bit like Cixi... Renzong's king had caught fire during the period, and it became a turning point in the political struggle at that time.
