The International AIDS Memorial Park in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park is a small but seemingly warm place. AIDS is a disease that human beings need to overcome. This memorial garden helps people understand AIDS.
A peaceful place for quiet contemplation. Tucked in between more well-known Golden Gate Park "attractions," the former Delaveaga Dell has been cleaned up and now has better drainage for the water flow that used to be a bog on the western end, and several memorial areas with seating added, but primarily left as-is to what John McLaren planted. Shhhh, don't tell Rec & Park, there's no admission fee to enter!
AIDS Memorial Park is a very worthwhile place to go, where many buildings are commemorating and introducing AIDS, very quiet.
