I visited on the way to Ashihara Onsen where I stayed after sightseeing Tojinbo in winter. The cityscape that reminds you of the prosperity of the Kitamaebune, such as the lattice door, the board wall townhouse, and the plaster dozo, is left, and you can feel nostalgic.
The cityscape that you want to take a calm and leisurely stroll. The quaint buildings that retain the remnants of those days have a deep feeling of taste. The Kuzuryu River, which flows nearby, has a lot of water probably because of the rain the day before, and the distance from the building is close, so I think that I will be overwhelmed by its presence.
On the way back to eat crabs, I took a walk around Mikuni Station on the Echizen Railway. A stylish cafe that has been renovated from an old house and a full-fledged French shop. I want to come slowly again to a very nice cityscape! I thought.
I've been to Tojinbo and Ashihara Onsen before, so I found this place when I was looking for an unknown town. The old townscape remained, and there were few people, so I enjoyed walking around the town quietly.
I stopped by on the way back from sightseeing in Tojinbo. Retro buildings such as the Morita Bank head office are preserved, and there are several places where you can tour the inside. There are many retro buildings in the town, and it is a fun cityscape to walk while taking pictures. I didn't have time and rented a bicycle at Mikuni Station, but it was also convenient.
