The Musée des Beaux-Arts de Rouen is a museum in Rouen, France. It has the second largest collection of impressionists in France. The museum opened in 1801. The museum building is now built between 1877 and 1888. The gallery has 60 rooms, displaying numerous works of painting, sculpture, sketching, decorative artwork and more.
The paintings and sculptures in the MuséedesBeaux-Arts collection of the Rouen Museum are mostly famous works. From the Middle Ages to the present, the works of Italian, Flemish, French masters are fascinating. Caravaggio's Bible paintings, Rubens portraits of Rubens, Modigliani's dancers, and one of Monet's "Rouen Cathedral" are all classics in the classics. Open Wednesday to Monday 10:00-18:00. Tickets: 3 euros for adults, 2 euros for students. It is a 20-minute walk from the train station.
