The site of the building was Heijo castle located on the low plateau on the north side of the junction of the toikugawa and the Asahi gawa River, and the Kamakura Kaido road passed near the building. There is a plane rectangular main gate slightly south of the center of the site, and two gates and three gates are placed on the north side, and each gate is defended by earthenware and moats. It was a beautiful place surrounded by trees 々 and it was a place where calm time seemed to pass.
The castle made of earthworks is a park, which is perfect for a walk. You can take a walk to the banks of the Miyako Ikukawa River. Visited as a Continuing 100 Famous Castle.
The ruins of a medieval samurai residence designated as one of the 100 Continued Japanese Castles. Shigetada Hatakeyama lived there. The earthworks and empty moats remain. The scale is also large. There is an explanation at the museum of Saitama Prefectural Arashiyama Historic Site, so it's a good idea to visit this place first before going.
It is a beautifully maintained castle ruin, we recommend that you visit the museum in the castle.

It was a good hike, 50 to 60 minutes on foot from the Sugiyama Castle Ruins, another 100-person castle in Arashiyama Town. It is said that the Sugayakan was expanded and maintained during the Sengoku period (period of Warring States), and it is not confirmed that Shigetada Hatakeyama, a leading military commander in the Kamakura period, had a building here, but still in the center of the castle ruins. There is a public statue Yes, you can remember the relationship with Mr. Hatakeyama. There is a prefectural museum on the ruins of the castle, so you can visit the ruins of the Sugayakan ...
Arashiyama Town has two consecutive 100 famous castles. It is one of them. It is about 15 minutes walk from Musashi Arashiyama Station, about 1 km. There are only moats and bank marks in the wide forest. It is old as a castle ruin, and I feel like a vast ruin rather than a castle ruin, but the ruins of the building are too large. I interpreted it as a place like a base for government offices rather than a base for war. I thought the defense on the south side seemed weak, but the south side was the river. Stay time is a tour with the museum and Ses ...

It's a big park, so I'm going for a walk.
