This is one of my favorite Angkor temples. It is a little far away from the main group - perhaps 15km. As a result, it is quite quiet. Very well preserved. A fun drive to get there too through villages, rice fields etc.

This is one of my favorite Angkor temples. It is a little far away from the main group - perhaps 15km. As a result, it is quite quiet. Very well preserved. A fun drive to get there too through villages, rice fields etc.
One of the many temples, the carving is still shocking. It is said that the people buried here have not cremated... It rained when we came, the water was serious, and the sarcophagus dared not take pictures... (The tour guide said that you can take pictures or not)
Bantisema Temple is also a religious building of Angkor culture, and the temple is also a very important expression of Buddhists in Cambodia. This temple is very popular and admired, and you can see many good artistic designs and architectural styles here.
Beautiful environment, hospitality: enthusiasm, low consumption threshold, convenient transportation and convenient parking. . .
Compared with Angkor temple, Barong temple, Tabu cage, Saint Sword temple and Queen's Palace, these well-known temples are seldom known. Although it is on the way to the Queen's Palace, most people will not include it in the itinerary, perhaps because the Bantisema Temple is really too "low-key" to introduce. However, all this does not affect the charm of Bantisema Temple. On the contrary, because it does not belong to the popular temples, less visitors come to visit, Bantisema Temple gives us too much amazing. In this respect, you can see the style of Angkor Architecture - first, cut and polished blocks of quartered stones stacked according to geometric figures, then the craftsmen began to cut and carve on the stones, and finally hollowed out the stones. There was no adhesive between the stones and the stones, and they were completely pressed and frictioned by natural gravity. The technical level of 500 years ago could actually put these lights on. Bare, cold, and so large a number of stone carving exquisite, really shocking.
Bantisema Temple (Banteay Samré) It means the castle of the Sema people. It was because Bantisema Temple was found late in the remote area, so it escaped the fate of being looted and destroyed, so it was preserved very well. Here you can see the style of Angkor architecture, which is piled up with large stones. Then carved, and finally hollowed out the soil inside, the real stone city; there is no bond between the stone and the stone, completely relying on gravity squeeze and friction, shocking. Bantisema Temple is surrounded by two huge concentric walls (i.e. corridors), which is unique in that it has an internal moat, Between the two walls, but now dry, the two walls have four tower gates in the southeast and northwest, and you can reach the center of the temple through a deep porch like a photo frame, which is a majestic main tower. The main tower is not connected to the surrounding corridors, it is independent, and the surrounding area has introduced winding waterways, but the water has dried up and is covered by grass. In addition, there are two Tibetan pavilions in the second-floor wall, especially the one on the south side. The temple is full of various carvings, such as the relief of the eight-arm Vishnu god vs. Ashuro at the west gate, the northern Tibetan Jing Pavilion has the image of Vishnu god lying on the snake, the relief of the monkey biting Ashuro's buttocks, etc. These carved knife methods are rough but not rough, it is worth savoring slowly. The cat is the owner here. It lies lazy in the middle of the road, lazyly watching a pair of steps walking back and forth, unwilling to move the body. I like Hindus very much. Animals that are incarnate as angels, such as cattle, horses, birds, monkeys, lions, elephants, etc. I also appreciate the Hindu view of life and death, like their "return", if the afterlife, I incarnate as a cat, not very good. Live unhappy, what does longevity mean, while we are not old, let us live meaningfully, do some of the most interesting things, go to some of the most interesting places, make some of the most interesting friends, love a most interesting lover, because, we will really die for a long time. Best portrait photography point: Because there are fewer tourists, you can fully enjoy the fun of taking pictures here, catching light and shadows between the layers of the corridor, whether it is taking a quiet temple view or taking a photo. So I call it the walk-out runway. It should be noted that the sand and stone grains of Bantisema Temple are relatively thick, and the color is mixed with black compared to the rose red of Bantisele, so her red is darker, it is not recommended to wear dark red, complicated clothes with pattern. The white, green and plain colors given here are all good. The Bantisema Temple is very close to the popular Bantisere.
