Take a train to see the magnificent Leaning Tower of Pisa and explore Italy 📷 European architecture travel guide.
The Leaning Tower of Pisa in Italy is very famous, but it's not very convenient to visit. We took the Italo train from Florence to Siena and then to Pisa.
📷Special feature:
"Three-Body" TV series protagonist Wang Miao gave an example to the children: "The Experiment on the Leaning Tower". In 1590, Galileo dropped two small balls of different masses from the Leaning Tower of Pisa, and the balls reached the ground at the same time, overturning Aristotle's theory of "acceleration".
I think this is a kind of courage. The famous Leaning Tower of Pisa gives people a feeling of courage. The scientists in "The Three-Body Problem" are all people who can find courage. Finding courage is also the reason why we can't help but travel.
During its construction, it was not clear whether it was due to soil or foundation issues that caused it to tilt. It was built up to the third floor in 1174, but the tower was found to be leaning. In order to accommodate the tower's architectural structure, it continued to be built until 1350, and became famous worldwide for its tilt.
The current tilt angle is still increasing, increasing by one millimeter every year, and who knows what will happen in the future...
👍 Must-visit attractions
Apart from the leaning tower on Miracle Square, central Italy's Pisa is mainly known for its artistic and historical retro architecture. Miracle Square, Pisa Cathedral, the Baptistery, and Knight's Square can all be visited in one day.
🏨Accommodation, no need to stay in Pisa, taking the Italian train is very convenient, and it's more flexible to return to Florence by train.
🚇Transportation
I took the Italo train from Florence, played in Siena for half a day, and played in Pisa for half a day;
Take the Italo train back to the old city of Florence, stay there and explore the next day, then depart for the water city of Venice as recommended in the previous guide.
My itinerary: Florence - Siena - Pisa - Florence old town - Venice
-Cost:
🎫The Italian train is a pass, after having a meal in Pisa, it cost around 20 euros. There were many candy stores in Pisa, which looked very healing and beautiful, and could be a good souvenir.
Do Italians love to eat candy?
It’s so amazing place and historical to visit in Italy, if you come to Italy must visit Pisa
Take time to see the complex work of building this tower, with lots of details, it's well preserved history. Don't miss the church next door, it's free to visit, just make sure you get tickets across the street first. We went in late November, so it was cold and it was raining, but there were fewer crowds. At least in the off-season, you won’t need more than an hour or two to stay, but after that you can spend some time walking around town and experiencing the real Tuscany, where you can find a great pizza and ice cream wherever you go.
as stunning as you would expect. we went on a beautiful July day. park is free to enter to the area where you can take the ‘classic photo.’ I also recommend paying for the ticket to climb the tower for this once in a lifetime experience. Watch out for young people taking ‘creative photos!’ (I joke).
Very good
It's pretty good.
