We visited Cinque Terre on a day bus tour from Florence and despite a confusing rushed start to the morning once we were on the bus headed for La Spezia things seemed to calm down. We were able to visit 4 of the 5 villages that make up this quaint area.Taking the train from La Spezia our first stop was Monterosso. We had lunch a little beach side restaurant. Pasta because when in Italy... From there we made our backwards stopping at Vernazza where it was a short walk down to the water from the station and the first taste of the iconic fishing village vista that is synonymous with Cinque Terre. Before moving on to Manarola and finally Riomaggiore where we were able to catch the start of a beautiful sunset. There was a lot to fit in one day especially with the lengthy distance to Florence but it was worth every minute.I would definitely look to stay in or near the villages if I were to visit again. The hiking trail across the 5 villages looks very intriguing.

A classical arena, not a Colosseum of course. Very well preserved. Tickets are a pricey one and at the end of the day we didn’t pay for the Placido Domingo show, but the arena itself.

A beautiful city, rich in history and close to Venice and lake Como. prefect for a stop over before heading off to Swiss. Just beware of pickpockets on the metro and shops. would for sure visit again. all the major attractions are so close to wash others. staying next to the main train station is best as you want to use the metro as less as possible.

Lake Garda, Italy, the visual impact is here, Lake Garda, Italy, the beautiful bubble is like a dream, there is a feeling of breaking into the fairy realm line is too beautiful, I dare not easily describe it, but my photo level is limited. Friends who like it must have the opportunity to take a look in person.

The Two Towers, "Le due torri", both of them leaning, are the symbol of Bologna, and probably the most prominent one. Until 1919, there were actually 5 towers in this square. Bologna was always known as the city of towers, “La Turrita”, as over the centuries, particularly between the 12th and the 13th century, the city had possibly over 200 towers.Almost all them were tall (the highest being 97 m), defensive stone towers. There are now 25 towers left without counting the hundreds of bell towers in the city. The taller one of the pair is called the Asinelli while the smaller but more leaning tower is called the Garisenda. Their names derive from the families which are traditionally credited with constructing them between 1109 and 1119.The Asinelli Tower was used by the scientists Giovanni Battista Riccioli (in 1640) and Giovanni BattistaGuglielmini (in the following century) for experiments to study the motion of heavy bodies and the earth rotation. Bologna’s towers were cited several times by Dante in the Divine Comedy and The Rhymes (a confirmation of his stay in Bologna), and by Goethe in his Italian Journey. The Two Towers have also been the subject of an eponymous poem by Giosuè Carducci as part of the Barbarian Odes. Charles Dickens wrote about the towers in his Pictures from Italy. In World War II, between 1943 and 1945, it was used as a sight post: during bombing attacks, four volunteers took post at the top to direct rescue operations to places hit by Allied bombs.Later, a RAI television relay was installed on top.Architect Minor Yamasaki is thought to have been inspired by the Towers when designing the World Trade Center during the 1960s.

Vernazza is a fishing village in the northwestern Italian province of Liguria Las Pezia, one of the most authentic "fishing villages" on the Italian Riviera. It is the only natural port in the Cinque Terre, and the name Vernazza comes from the Latin adjective verna, meaning "local people".

Juliet's former residence, located near the Vanilla Square in the city center, is said to have been the residence of the heroine Juliet in Shakespeare's famous Romeo and Juliet. Juliet's former residence is an ancient building built in the 13th century, with high-walled compound and round arches, and the entrance is marked "Casa di Giulietta" ―― Capreti House. It was once owned by the Capreti family of Verona Wang, the daughter of Juliet.
