Sotheby's France

Sotheby's was an auction house, and in early March 1744 there was a place in London called "Coffin Garden". It was always a fruit and vegetable market, and it became a place for a book auction. The organizer was a bookmaker named Samir Baker.

I've been there twice before and after, but I still like it better.

The Sotheby auction house is world famous.
