When I took a walk at the "53rd Odawara Umebayashi Festival" held until February 26, 2023 ~, I visited on February 17, along with "Nakagawara Umebayashi". The plum forest in the precincts is in full bloom and the landscape overlapped with [ Main Hall ] (see attached photo) is very impressive with [ Stone Buddha ]. [ Main Hall ] Roof and [ Mt. Fuji ] (see attached photo) is also unique to [Zuiunji]. In addition, [ Main Hall ] The principal image of the inner sanctuary is [ Shakamuni Buddha ], and the principal image of the guardian is [ Eleven-faced Kanzeon Bodhisattva ], but the door is closed ...
It is a temple built on a small mountain. There was also a big fishing bell. There was a small plum grove right next to it and the plums were beautiful. It's a pity that I could have enjoyed the plum more if I had been a little earlier.
I went to my cousin's ritual today. The temple here is called Ryuzhuzan Zuiunji of the Soto sect. It is located on the hillside and was founded more than 500 years ago. Danya seems to be over 500. The building is a little strange, and when you go up the stairs, there is a dirt floor of 10 mx 15 m, and there is the main hall. The graveyard is located on the east side of the slope and the view is nice. You may not go unless you are a Danke. It is a magnificent temple.
15 minutes walk from JR Shimosoga Station. A temple of the Soto sect built in 1492. The principal image is Shaka Muni Buddha. The current main hall was rebuilt in 1927. There are stone Buddha groups in the precincts. I visited at the end of February. It was impressive that plum blossoms were in bloom in the precincts.
It is a temple on a hill on Mt. Soga Mikan. It is also close to the Soga Umebayashi where the plum festival is held. There is also Jozenji Temple, which is famous in the form of the Soga brothers. The nearest station is Shimosoga station on the Gotemba line, but be careful because the number of trains is small.
