Munich Residenz

On the first day of my trip, I visited Marienplatz and the New Town Hall (Neues Rathaus). I started my journey at Marienplatz, the heart of Munich. Admiring the New Town Hall with its famous Glockenspiel that chimes daily 🥰 📍Marienplatz 8, 80331 Munich I took a short walk from Marienplatz, this iconic church with its twin towers is a must-see 😍😍 Frauenkirche (Cathedral of Our Lady) 📍 Frauenplatz 12, 80331 Munich Then I walked to a cafe nearby, Café Frischhut for their doughnut 🍩 This place is famous for its Schmalznudeln (Bavarian doughnuts). It tastes so so good and im misusing it 😃 📍Prälat-Zistl-Straße 8, 80331 Munich I also visited Royal Palaces and Gardens, explored the baroque palace and its vast gardens. It was really beautiful and worth to visit 😍 📍Schloss Nymphenburg 1, 80638 Munich Aside, I also visited English Garden (Englischer Garten). Strolled through one of the largest urban parks in the world. I also spent sometimes exploring Museums and Historical Sites. My favorite one would be Deutsches Museum. One of the world's largest and oldest science and technology museums. It was a very interesting one and I would definitely recommend you to visit 💯 📍Museumsinsel 1, 80538 Munich I also spent sometimes to explore Markets and Cultural experiences at Viktualienmarkt. Exploring the Residenz Treasury was like delving into a treasure trove. Glittering crowns, priceless jewels, and regal regalia showcased the wealth and magnificence of Bavarian rulers, offering a glimpse into a world of luxury and privilege. Ascending the Staircase of Power, I marveled at the symbolic significance of each step—a journey through the hierarchy of courtly life. The Residenz is not merely a structure; it's a living chronicle of societal evolution and the ever-shifting dynamics of power. As I concluded my visit in the Court Chapel, the ethereal beauty of the sacred space resonated deeply. Munich Residenz The Munich Residenz area is located in the city center and is a convergence zone for important buildings from the 16th to the 19th century. The Munich Residenz area includes the King's Building, the Maximilian Palace, the Banquet Hall Building, the Bavarian State Opera, the Generals' Hall, and many other buildings. 3. BMW Museum The BMW Museum is located at the BMW Brand Experience Center in Munich, the global headquarters of BMW. It is a core part of the BMW Brand Experience Center. The museum covers an area of 5,000 square meters and is designed in a 'bowl' shape. Right next to it is the BMW 'Four Cylinder' headquarters building.

#europetrip The Munich Residenz was the seat of government and residence of the Bavarian dukes, electors and kings between the 16th and 20th century. The rooms and art collections, showcase Renaissance, Baroque and Rococo style of art. The palace is lovely and completely worth visiting when in Munich. Tickets can be purchased at the entrance. There are more than a 100 rooms so give yourself time if you wish to visit every room.
