No matter what the weather, someone will jump off the bridge like a diving. Every year there is a special bridge jump competition ... But be careful that there may be people dressed like a tour guide near the bridge who ask for money for various reasons. First, take a certificate that you don’t know what to look at, and then take a photo of the child and say it is his family’s child. Ask if you want to see it. 2019.Old Bridge is famous for an ancient bridge built in the 16th century. Although it was destroyed in the Bosnian War, it was reconstructed. The bridge is 27 meters high and it is said that men in ancient times would jump from the top of the bridge to prove their courage and please the most beautiful girl in the town. I went to just in time for the annual diving competition here, the champion has won 12 consecutive, if it is bigger than who fell into the water, I can fight with him! Out of Mostar driving along the mountain road into the interior of BiH, attracted by a plain surrounded by mountains, the beauty is suffocating.
Beautiful old bridge in the heart of a very pretty fairytale looking town. Gets *very* crowded in summer - try and go in the low season.
The area around the Mostar Old Bridge is slippery, especially in the rain, but if you are careful and walk slowly there is so much to see!
The ancient bridge was built between two steep peaks and existed for hundreds of years, but it was destroyed in the Bosnia and Herzegovina War. After the war, the original ancient bridge materials were collected and reconstructed. All of them were paved with Tianli stone and the bridge was white and smooth.
