Construction began in April 1841 and completed in July 1842. The 9th generation of the main Tokugawa Qizhao personally planned and designed the park is a natural landscape garden of Ichiquan return to the natural landscape garden of Okayama and the Kanazawa Kanazawa's six gardens are listed in Japan's three famous gardens.
