Simple paintings that capture the winter views of the valley
The White Museum captures the snow covered scenes of the region perfectly. Even on a warm summers day you feel the chill of the deep winter snow as you look at the collection of black and white landsc...
I went for the purpose of seeing Mt. Hakkai. If you use public transportation, take a bus from Mukkamachi Station for about 15 minutes and get off at the Kamiyakushido bus stop. It is a minute walk 3~4. The view of Mt. Hakkai from the front of this museum was wonderful. I can't comment on the exhibits because I'm not in the museum.
Admission fee 500 Yen is high. There are few exhibited works. There are few materials. I personally don't have my favorite works. I can't feel the image of the catch phrase.
It is a museum that exhibits the works of a painter named Soichiro Tomioka from Takada, Joetsu City. As the name of the facility suggests, there were many paintings that were very nice how to use white paint. The entire museum is also based on white.

let's go.
It's a museum I was interested in, but please go there once. The world view is drawn uniquely to the snowy country. You may feel like the winter law.
