Along the 'nakagawa Dori Street' near IDE Jinja shrine
Original Text
In 1897, the haiku magazine "Hototogisu" named after Shiki Masaoka was born and first published by Yanagihara Kyodo. It gradually attracted attention nationwide, and eventually Shiki grew up to say his life, but it was discontinued with No. 20. The following year, at the request of Shiki, Kyoko Takahama took over and was issued in Tokyo, and Shiki was alive and was the organizer. On the site, there is an explanation board, a stone monument to commemorate the first publication, and a stone monument carved in the history.
