Lanzhou City God Temple

Lanzhou City God Temple is located on Zhangye Road Pedestrian Street. The existing ancient buildings are buildings in Ming and Qing Dynasties. The three gates of the temple are Zhonglie Houfang, the second gate is a hard hilltop-style ring gallery theater, the north is a scroll-shouldered Xieshan-style palace, and the rear is a double-eave Xieshan-style main hall, with wing rooms, bell and drum towers on the left and right. The original frescoes under the cloister are now gone. According to the central axis, the existing buildings are the archway, the hall of enjoyment, the main hall, the sleeping officer, and the living room. The archway is rebuilt from the archway of Zhenlie Remains in front of the tomb of Yan Fei in the festival garden. There is a pair of stone lions in the courtyard, which has a history of more than 200 years. Chenghuang Temple is now the workers' club in Lanzhou City, forming a collection of antiques, calligraphy and painting, four treasures of the study, jade, porcelain, bronze, carved gourds, carved inkstones, embroidery, cultural gifts, strange stones from the Yellow River, ancient books, coins, stamps, etc. with local characteristics of Lanzhou. The larger cultural and antique market has nearly 300 merchants operating here all year round. The annual Spring Festival traditional culture temple fair provides Lanzhou citizens with a rich cultural feast. Listening to Qin Opera, watching exhibitions, guessing riddles, playing lions, various folk handicrafts and local snacks gather here. It has become a fixed place for citizens' leisure and entertainment.
