Jintianguan

Jintian Temple was built in the second year of Jianwen in the Ming Dynasty (1400 AD). Because there is a statue of Leizu in the temple, also known as "Lei Tan", it is the place where Taoism spread scriptures in Lanzhou in the early years. In the past, the Jintian Temple was towering, the cloister was quiet and curved, and the pines, cypresses, and eucalyptus were scattered all over the place. In the middle is the Lei Tan, the east is the Tan Temple, the west is the Wu Temple, and there is a garden in the northwest corner. It is now turned into the Lanzhou Workers' Cultural Palace. According to records, there were 36 Tang Huai trees in Jintianguan, which were called "Thirty-six Thunder Generals". There are 3 Tang Huai and 3 Ming and Qing cypress trees over 120 years old. The taller one is more than 20 meters tall, and the diameter at breast height is nearly 3 meters. There are more than ten inscriptions on Ming and Qing steles in the south of the courtyard. Among them is the "Bixie Stele" of Princess Ming Su, who was moved from the Jieyuan Garden, standing in the west corridor of the original Erqing Hall. In the sixteenth year of Chongzhen in the Ming Dynasty (1643), He Jin, the general of Li Zicheng's Dashun army, captured Lanzhou, and the last king of Su, Zhu Shihong, was captured. Concubine Yan, Zhao, Gu, Concubine Tian, Yang led more than 200 people from the palace to the Fuyun Tower on the north city wall from Ningxi Garden, ready to commit suicide by throwing the Yellow River from the north city wall. At that time, the chasing troops were approaching, and Yan Shi rushed to the monument of King Su's poems standing on Fuyun Tower, touching the monument and died. The rest of the concubines jumped off the wall, committed suicide, and hanged themselves, all martyred. The locals collected the bodies of Princess Su's concubine, dug a large tomb in the garden, and buried them all. From then on, the place where Concubine Yan spilled blood on the Su Wangshi monument stacked on Fuyun Tower left a blood stain the size of a bowl, and the traces were very obvious every time it was rainy or the weather changed.
