It is an old shrine that enshrines Yamato Takeru, and is also described in Kojiki. It's not big, but I'm grateful to think that it's been in this area for nearly 2000 years and has been involved in history, and that it's said to be the birthplace of renga from the question and answer songs sung by Takeru Yamato.
