This is a popular area, with many Calgarians and other visitors checking out the beautiful Barrier Lake. They have improved the parking area quite a bit, and added more pit toilets, so it's now bette...
We went mid-week so traffic and people were around but not packed. It was worth the hike up to see the view of Barrier Lake. I recommend to bring lots of water and bug spray!
Something for everybody in every month of the year!
This trail offers so much all year, plus it's VERY close to Calgary relative to the famous mountain parks. The parking lot facilities have been beautifully upgraded with more parking, more pit toilet...

Amazing view
