It is now on the premises of Hide Junior High School, but it is along the school road from the site of Hide Castle to the matoyamaso, so you can visit it freely. Although the southern cabbage is usually white, it seems to be a rare variety with a slightly red petal, and it is designated as a natural monument in Oita Prefecture since the Taisho Period.
