Musashi Aso Shrine is the guardian of Hamura, which was called Aso Shrine and Aso Daimyojin in ancient times. According to the shrine legend, it begins with the construction of a clear land by the oracle of emperor Suiko in the 9th year (601) and the sacred object (ball) given by Kenbanryu-mei was enshrined. The shrine was first built by Taira no Masakado during the Shohei era (931 ～ 38). After that, Fujiwara no Hidesato, who killed Masakado, also received an oracle and donated the shrine building, and it is said that the Shinto tree of Shii was hand-planted by Hidesato at this time.
