About 25 minutes walk from Gujo Hachiman Station. There is a precinct at the end of Honmachi-dori. In 1601, Yoshitaka Endo, the first feudal lord of the Hachiman domain, was built as his own family temple. A temple of the Shinshu Otani school. The principal image is Amida Nyorai. A bronze statue of rennyo shonin stands in front of the main hall.

A large temple at the end of the old townscape of Kajiya Town. The mountain gate is magnificent. There is an explanation board called Chokeiji Temple and Ryoshimotai beside the mountain gate. It is said that a member of the Ryoshimo Tai troop who fought against the government army with the Hakuto Tai troop at the end of the Edo period was moved to this temple after the surrender of Aizu.
