Iandra Castle

Built on an area of 32,000 acres, the castle is a more representative manor castle in Australian history. The manor was purchased by Mr. George Greene in 1878, and the building was erected on the manor in 1880. In 1886 the owner of the manor built StSaviour's Church. In 1908, it was further improved and expanded, and a reservoir, other sheds and other facilities were built. The estate has independent shops, post offices, public schools, carpenters, farm machinery agencies, and more. When the farmer George Greene died in 1911, his family moved back to England during the World Wars and the estate was sold to the Lanson family. Sold to Methodist Church in 1950.
