We had our picnic here, find a nice flat rock put a blanket out (provided by the Hummer tour company) eat your snacks at leisure while taking in the breathtaking views!
I have visited many times, but I would like you to choose this place for your first contact with the Grand Canyon. There are too many people at Mercer Point with a fence, and I feel that the magnificence of the Grand Canyon is cloudy. There are not many people at this point, and you can enjoy the view of the Grand Canyon as it is. I think it's better to enjoy the 々 points from here.
Walk back to the village from here
Worth a stop here, but not the most spectacular views. Great spot for lunch though. Or use this shuttle stop to begin a walk back to the village.
