Tianshan Tianchi (“Heavenly Mountain” and “Heavenly Lake”) National Park

The lake is located an hr outside the city. we missed a bus at 8:30am from peoples park which take you directly to the site. In the end managed to get a didi/taxi to the site. At the car park you get out and head for a police registration for all foreigners. This took about 20 minutes. in the end they give you a piece of paper which says you buy tickets. The ticket line was short and it’s 150rmb entrance. the first shuttle take ls you to an area of restaurants. The food is cheap and there is lots of options. From there you take another shuttle bus. then there is a short walk to the lake. There is a 5k walk around the lake and you can take a boats across also. A great site to visit.

Tian Shan Mountains, also called Tien Shan, Celestial Mountains or Heavenly Mountains, is a large system of mountain range situated in the Eurasia hinterland. Tian Shan Mountains location makes it the furthest mountain system from the sea with widespread drought regions. Being adapted to harsh climates of high altitude, it grows well on cliffs and in the clefts of rocks along the mountain. Aside from Tianshan Wild Animal Park, which is located at the southern foot of Bogda Mountain, the Southern Pasture and Ili Nalati Grassland are also famous tourist attractions along the Tian Shan Mountains which are highly recommended for visitors who enjoy horse racing and the kazakh folk customs.

Tianchi Lake of Tianshan is located on the hillside under Bogda Peak in Fukang City, Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
