Burg Hohenzollern

I have always wanted to visit Neuschwanstein Castle in Germany. However, it is quite far away from the hotel where I am staying. Thus, I chose to go Hohenzollern Castle which was 3 hours train ride away alone. While in the train, I realised that I had to purchase the tickets online and the tickets for the timing I wanted to go in was sold out. Not only this, I could not see any buses available and I had to take expensive taxi. I can only view the castle from the outside. I also went to a hill top opposite of the castle. I had to hike through the forest in the hill for about 1 hr in order to get there. I was so exhausted when I got there. The view from there was quite worth it. When I tried to get back to the train station, I was kinda lost and had to get help from a restaurant to help me get a taxi. It was quite an experience especially in the winter.

In Germany, only Hohenzollernburg can be named for Neuschwanstein, located on the ridge of Heichengen, next to the famous Black Forest Neo-Gothic architectural style, majestic and solemn. This is the birthplace of the German royal family, which represents the glorious history of the Prussian dynasty. The afternoon of the arrival was sunny and blue, and the courtyard square outside was matched with azure sky, plus the panoramic view of the Schwaben Mountains and the Black Forest, which was particularly magnificent. It was a view of the castle, statues and artillery against the background of the blue sky and white clouds, overlooking the plains of the mountains. There are also royal chapels, restaurants and gift shops in the castle, and I picked a few flute CDs that Frederick the Great liked. Unfortunately, I have to rush to the hotel in Ludwigburg next time. I don’t have time to sit down here and have a glass of looking at the ocean. Come back next time.
