The building, which was built in the Qing Qianlong period, is an influential mosque in the western region of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, which has been listed as an important mosque by the Chinese Islamic Association. Baotou Mosque Temple is particularly precious, especially the brick carvings, which have artistic and cultural relics value, so it is listed as a municipal cultural relics protection unit by the Baotou Municipal Cultural Relics Management Office.
