Rosewood Railway Museum

If you head to the Rosewood town nestled in a secluded location in the Bremer River valley. Rosewood is located 50km west of Brisbane city and 18km west of Ipswich and can be reached by electric train from Ipswich. The town is home to the Rosewood Train Museum, which is dedicated to the unique atmosphere of a Queensland spur line typical of the steam and early diesel era. The museum is now an operating railway, including a PB15 steam locomotive with a towed wooden carriage and a series of diesel locomotives and rail motorcycles. The train line sits high on the mountains and rivers above rosewood, and has a number of steep slopes on which the steam engines need to be pumped up.
