Jack's bean tree?
Original Text
It is said that it became a model of Jack and bean tree beans. I thought I would cut through the tremendous virgin forest, but it is just off the national highway and through a small village. When I went to Iriomote, I saw this big bean saya (which was exhibited at the hotel), but I didn't see it actually growing, so I went to see it. There is a signboard on the right side of the road (toward the climbing direction), there ...
Amami is a leguminous plant "Modama" that is designated as a cultural property of Amami City and only grows naturally for residential use. The vine with a diameter of 60 cm or more and about 300m is growing. It blooms from April to May, and from July to August, large beans can be grown at more than 1 m.
Due to the influence of the typhoon, Modama beans have not come out for about two seasons. The guide said that he had not seen the flowers in 2019, so he was talking about whether he could make beans in 2020. The one tree is entangled with thick toy modama vines and is powerful. It is a mysterious plant like a parasite that does not have a modama tree, but a branch (vine) extends from a color 々 tree.
2019 1 I stopped by during my trip to Amami in the month, but I couldn't confirm the beans of Modama that I saw a lot in the month in 3 in 2018. Is it the influence of the typhoon j? The guide to Modama along National Highway 58 was also quite damaged and the letter "Modama" was lost.
There was a rather splendid guidebook called Modama native fabric, so I wanted to see it once, so I went a little far away and parked my car and walked. There was no other guide and I didn't know where to see how. Sorry.
