a pleasant day-walk with many scenic views
We walked about 18km, according to Strava. It felt much less. The scenery was stunning in the morning light. So many waterfalls; such clear water; such beautiful tree coverage with autumn colours. ...
It is a waterfall in the back of Sandankyo. As this area is named Sandankyo, I think this Sandan Waterfall is one of the highlights. It takes about 30 minutes to walk from the toll parking lot at Mizunashiguchi to access. I visited from the viewing platform. It felt like I was visiting an unexplored region, and it was nice to take a deep breath while listening to the sound of the waterfall. The feeling of accomplishment when I arrived on foot along the road with a difference in height and the sound of water falling into the basin, and the mountains of autumn leaves spreading in the background, exhaustion blows away at once.
The waterfall that falls into three steps, the time of the new green cherry blossoms and autumn leaves is wonderful!

During the Saturday, Sunday and season, there is a microbus connecting the front entrance and Mizunashi exit through the national highway. Front exit ...
