"National Nature Reserve Park. It's very cheap to take a boat ~ Shuttle in the reeds. Of course it will be very dry in summer. But looking at the calm lake at sunset, my heart became peaceful"

"Great park in south London with lots to do for the whole family. The various ponds and pools are well stocked with fish, there are ducks, geese, moorhens and coots, and lots of long grass and cut lawns for kids to run and play. Cycle paths and picnic areas as well."

"This is a lovely park. It is really picturesque with the autumn colours. The lake is lovely and peaceful. The grounds is extensive. On the day we visited, the ground was quite wet so welly boots is recommended. Our dog had a great time but absolutely filthy at the end, so a big towel is a must. For the adventurous, there is a go ape here too. Parking was ok. We went on a rainy day so there was no queues at the parking machine and there were plenty of spaces. Getting there was simply enough following the satnav. We had a great time and will definitely be back."

"Dogs Island is the island in the heart of the Thames, which is here in Canary Wharf. Around here is the most modern place in London. The high-rise buildings and the headquarters of many international companies are both modern and beautiful."

"This 2000 project is an amazing piece of landscape architecture on what once was a contaminated site that housed petrochemical and acid works on the riverbank. Wavy strips of plants whose coulours change with the seasons reflect the dynamic nature of the river Thames and the Flood Barriers. A Pavilion of Remembrance commemorates local people who died in the Second World War."
