Super interesting little museum in a very interesting ghost town.
Besides the huge locomotive, the museum has a bunch of interesting information and images. It's not big, so it only takes a short amount of time to visit. A great way to take a look into Nevada's past...
Restored Fire Engines and history of the town at "donation only" price
This little place was run by passionate volunteers and we really enjoyed it. Beautifully restored engines, artifacts and personal accounts of town fires. Donations accepted, but no fee to enter.

A must when in Virginia City. Perfect, little place to lose yourself in a bit of locomotive history. Geoff/Jeff, who I believe manages the place, is terrific!
