Since 1782, Cibeles Fountain has been standing in this iconic square. One of the city's most famous landmarks, on the roof of the chariot painted by two lions depicting Seborough, the great mother of the gods and the fertile Roman goddess. It is located in the center of Ciberes Square (Plaza de Cibeles), which is named for its name and marks the beginning of Madrid's Art Avenue (Paseo del Arte).
Stunning and begging for a picture, this well known fountain and roundabout is referred to as Cibeles (the god of nature) and this is where the Real Madrid team celebrates their championships! This area of the city is very walkable and is located between Retiro Park and Gran Via.
