## Versailles is located in the town of Versailles, the capital of Yvelines, in the southwestern part of Paris, France. It is one of the famous palaces in Paris and one of the five largest palaces in the world. It was listed as a World Heritage Site in 1979. The world-famous Palace of Versailles is a brilliant pearl in the treasure house of human art. The area where Versailles is located is originally a forest and swamp wasteland. In 1624, King Louis XIII of France bought 117 acres of wasteland at a price of 10,000 livres, where a two-story red brick building was built as a hunting palace. On the second floor, there is a king's office, a bedroom, an interview room, a wardrobe room, a bedroom for accompanying people, and a storeroom for furniture and a library of weapons. At the time, the palace had 26 rooms and now has 2,300 rooms.
