Qijin Coastal Park

Qijin Marine Park is located in Kaohsiung Port, which can both bicycles, natural ecological areas, beach areas, sea view trails, etc., suitable for adults and fine roads! And there are a lot of installation art, you can shadow a lot of hiccups!

Walk along the Qijin Peninsula Coast Trail, you can see the beach sea view along the way, and the gate plaque of the marine park is on Qijin 3rd Road. That is to say, there are green plants near the coast, and the areas where you can see the sea view belong to the marine park. This is a few kilometers long on the coast trail, and the core area is the Qijin Shell Museum. Going to the beach, there is a viewing platform, you can overlook the scenery of the nearby coast. Come here to walk, that is, increase the knowledge of molluscs, sea shellfish creatures, and enjoy the coastal scenery, open the horizon.

The Qijin Marine Park is very long along, so I usually only visit a specific area every time I come. This time I specially picked the evening to come here to watch the sunset. Windmill Park is located in the middle of the island, opposite the Qijin Hospital and the city government. There is a parking lot and some seafood shops near the park. Although there was wind on the day of the trip, the wind turbine in the park did not move and may need repair and maintenance. Some others in the park are also enjoying the scenery, some are walking, some are jogging or simply watching the sea view. Because it is hot during the day, I don’t choose to come here during the day. The coastline is very long and you can rent bicycles. There are bicycle lanes. The sunset is beautiful. If you are tired, you can go to Qijin Old Street to eat. There is also a Xingtai near the old street to see the sunset and the city view of Kaohsiung. Qijin Peninsula was originally a peninsula. It was built in the last century and bombed into an island. Now there is only one tunnel between Qijin and Kaohsiung itself. But for tourists, the best way to go to Qijin is by ferry. At one end of Kaohsiung, the Jiaogushan Ferry Station is just around Xiziwan, less than ten minutes from Xiziwan MRT Station; at the other end of Qijin, the Qijin Ferry Station is located in the north of Qijin, which is the busiest place in the whole city and the focus of scenic spots.
