We came to Granville Island in a Monday before but most shops we're closed. This time we were there on a Thursday. The market had many shops open with a good variety.
I love this place, it reminds me of a mall but with food! There is places to sit and enjoy or walk around. There is traffic here, so come early. The food is good.

Granville Island, located on the edge of downtown Vancouver, was formerly an industrial zone peninsula, with abandoned railway buildings all over the streets and lanes. It has been refurbished to create a new look and is full of modern art. You can go to the gallery to watch the production of art, go shopping in the public market, enjoy the cool children's fun in the children's water park, sit down on the bench in the open-air park or watch the performances of one or two street performers.
You can find whatever seafood you desire in this all-encompassing merchant area, a beautiful one at that.
Nice area to walk though, relax or maybe grab a drink or just chill with the family. Some Creative shops with great merchandise.

Granville Island offers a variety of amenities: public market, arts and crafts, gourmet food courts, award winning restaurants, brewery, coffee shops, live music, water taxi, kids zone, marina to just name a few. Great place to soak in the relax Vancouver live style.

Don't even bother to come to Vancouver without going to Granville Island. Your going to love it!
