Nice to walk around during the day, but in the evening it gets a bit dicey. And stay near the hub... too close to Hastings Street and you'll feel the socio-economic shift.
Perhaps it was because our visit was on a rainy weekday evening, but I was underwhelmed by Gastown. Most of the stores were closed, except for a few selling souvenirs. Many restaurants were closed,...
Way too many homeless people. Honestly they creep me, if you are okay with them, there are couple of good places to sit. One is right next to the gas clock.
Such a beautiful area with a lot of history however, the morning we visited was a disappointment. The streets were very pungent. They smelled very strongly of urine. There were many people sleeping on...
Although it's already winter, the autumn in Gastown, Vancouver is still there. It's a good time to walk on the road and take photos. Old cars, old-fashioned red brick buildings, cobblestone paved paths, exquisite roadside coffee shops and firelike maple leaves are so beautiful! Photo by @ Liang - Sir

Feel another North American style in Vancouver
Vancouver is one of the most prosperous cities in North America, the city with the most Chinese, and it is natural to feel like you are here. Of course, the city of Vancouver is also full of different charms. My favorite is the Gastown Gastown. There is a very famous small attraction here in the steam. I can always see many tourists gathered here, but not all. Point, it will also be whistling when the time is fun! There are many creative shops around
, there are also hot nightclubs, modern restaurants and souvenir shops. It feels like a perfect combination of history and modernity. It is no wonder that it will become the world's fourth-ranked fashion district.
and not far from the gas town, there is also a boring sight called Canada Square, which is also the landmark building in Vancouver. I think it is normal, but here is a walk around the sea, blowing the sea breeze to see the distant scenery. not bad.

Introduction
Don’t be put off. It’s not what you’re thinking… the namesake of this historic district at the northeast end of Vancouver’s downtown was "Gassy" Jack Deighton… and no, it’s not what you’re thinking. “Gassy” was a barkeep and Yorkshire seaman who came to Vancouver with $6, his native wife, and a yellow dog. He started the area’s first saloon in 1867, back when “gassy” meant talkative. Today, this area is a delightful mix of old architecture and a modern social and business scene. You’ll find hip boutiques and cafés in this home of the famous Gastown Steam Clock. The district’s reputation as a favorite drinking spot continues at numerous trendy nightclubs. The cobblestone streets are home of the city’s biggest tech and media firms.

Great to watch the steam clock stike on the hour. Loads of good tourist shops and places to eat here.

Cobble streets lined with historical buildings. An abundance of great restaurants, shops, pubs and bars, always something interesting to see.
Love walking around here at night. Great place to just explore and find new places to eat.
