About Tianmen: Tianmen was formerly known as Jingling. The city is located in the central part of Hubei Province, along the northern part of the Jianghan Plain. The name of the city means “Celestial Gateway” and it is so named because Celestial Gateway Mountain (Tianmen Mountain) is in the vicinity. The city is known as a land of plenty because it is rich in produce and specialty products, with an extremely sumptuous food culture. Tianmen is the birthplace of world tea culture and the hometown of Lu Yu, the author of The Classic of Tea. Famous attractions include Lu Yu’s garden, Hujia Garden, the Shijiahe Neolithic sites and Zhangjiahu National Wetland Park.
