This isakaya was recommended by the guesthouse and was quite a find. As a solo diner I was seated at the counter and was made to feel welcome by the cook, who spoke English to me, and by his mother- and father-in-law, the owners. Soon enough I was engaged in conversation with the other patrons and the regulars, with the cook as interpreter. What an experience! The food was tasty and varied.
