Helix Bridge ✨🧬
Helix Bridge is my favourite bridge in Singapore and I can’t believe it’s 12 years old because it was opened in 2010!
The bridge links Marina Centre with the Marina South, in tourists terms, it is the linkway between Marina Bay Sands/Art Science Museum/ Gardens By The Bay towards Esplanade/Singapore Flyer and other Marina Bay area hotels.
Even in 2022, it still looks futuristic, as taken at night, it is illuminated by lights creating a special starry night experience. Due to the tropical climate in Singapore, there are partial shades and shelter to cover pedestrians from the heat. Take note that you will still get wet on a rainy day.
The bride is 280m long and have about 4 viewing pods to allow visitors to get nearer to the waterfront. It is also curved, which during the construction period face many difficulties to make sure it works and it is safe.
There are coloured letters, c and g, as well as a and t on the bridge which are lit up at night in red and green represent cytosine, guanine, adenine and thymine, the four bases of DNA.

The double spiral bridge is a very design and novel artistic bridge. The two spiral structures form the whole bridge body, similar to a barrel structure, and the bridge is also very flat. You can take pictures here and enjoy the architectural style of Singapore's urban characteristics.
The double spiral bridge is a steel frame structure bridge style, the entire structure of the spiral bridge is quite unique, similar to two rotating brackets, the natural scenery on the bridge is also very good-looking, you can pass back and forth here, take some pictures of different angles.
The typical representative of the beauty of the structure, if you only look at the double helix part, you will find that the structure is extremely exquisite, the lighting is also very good, the bridge is concrete, a bit lowered the structure grade, and the only way to the Marina Bay.
This unique bridge looks amazing both during the day and at night. It is designed to look line the DNA
At night, with the decorative effect of lighting, the Merlion sculpture creates a visual effect standing above the blue wave. At this moment, the Jinsha Hotel in Binhai Bay across the water, the Ferris Wheel and the double helix bridge connecting the two places are also beautifully decorated and deduced by lights. The final goal of our tour today is to see this modern bridge. Walking to the double helix bridge, I saw an ice cream stall here, and there were people waiting in line. So we lined up and spent 1.2 NT to buy a Mango-flavored ice cream. The vendors sold many kinds of ice cream. The best variety we bought was durian. After tasting, I don't feel very good about ice cream, but on such a beautiful night, facing such a beautiful scenery, tasting cool and refreshing ice cream is also a very memorable taste. Crossing the twin spiral bridge with changeable lights, we can see the intermittent illumination of the headlights on the top of Jinsha Hotel from the viewing platform on the bridge, which adds a dynamic rhythm to the beautiful coastal bay night scene. The double helix pedestrian bridge built in April 2010 is the first double helix pedestrian bridge in the world. Inspired by the DNA structure, the designer designed the shape of the bridge, which is said to reflect the meaning of "life and continuity, renewal and growth". Walking on this bridge with changeable lights, feeling the combination of art and use of architecture, feeling Singapore's innovative urban construction, at this moment the feeling is rarely felt in other cities in the past. At the other end of the double helix bridge is a huge shopping mall, where the four floors are spatially impressive and there are many restaurants and cafes. The most amazing thing is that there are so many restaurants, cafes and food centers in Singapore, which are full of customers, especially in the evening. It seems that food in Singapore is also the most important item in tourism.
When I come in the evening, the bridge lights up and I see two kinds of feelings more than I do during the day. It is said that this bridge is the first double helix bridge in the world, walking directly from the bridge to the place where the Ferris wheel rides.
Separating the inner bay and the open sea, this bridge offers an amazing view. catching sunset and lighted bridge at around 7pm. avoid Sunday crowd.
