The buildings, scattered across from the elephant terrace, were not known for their usefulness when they visited, but later became known to represent the twelve zodiacs. The most important feature of these buildings is that they are red in appearance, scattered but seemingly regular layout across from the Royal Palace. But most of them are badly damaged and it is hard to find their glory back then.

On the opposite side of Douxiangtai, that is, on the east side, I spent a long time here when I was traveling alone. There were no tourists in this area. The weeds were taller and the maintenance was not very good, so I felt a sense of discovery.
The Twelve Pagoda Temples are located directly opposite the War Elephant Platform, centered on the extension of the War Elephant Platform, with six tower temples on the left and six on the right, evenly distributed in front of the north and south warehouses.
The Zodiac Tower is a not-so-popular attraction in Angkor Wat, but because it covers a relatively large area, it is difficult to overlook, but the twelve towers are far apart, and there is no strength to identify them one by one.
Leaving Bayon Temple, I stopped at the roadside not far away. The 12 Zodiac Tower, Ancient Court, Douxiang Terrace, Sky Palace and Baben Palace are located on both sides of the road. There are twelve independent tower-like stone buildings, which are said to be similar to the Chinese zodiac signs. These buildings are tall and large. The interior is piled with lighter flint hills, and the outside is piled with sand and gravel and sculptures are made on them. Most of them have fallen off. From the remaining parts, the sculptures are less and simple and rough.
