The Spring Sea at Shenzhen Dameisha
After several years, I returned to Dameisha and found many new roads, shops, and hotels. The once glorious Yalan Hotel now shows signs of wear, with only the relentless waves echoing permanently.
To catch the sunrise at 6:30 am, I headed to the beach, where a vast outlet town surrounded the entire beachfront. The calm morning waters reflected the coconut trees, arch bridges, eaves, and European-style rooftops in their slumber. Two men with blank stares walked down a street covered in English words, with brands like GUCCI, PRADA, BURBERRY, DOLCE&GABBANA, CK Jeans, until they reached the top of a rainbow staircase that bore a Chinese sign reading 'Elegant Garden'. Around a corner, I encountered the Angel's Wings, where an old man stood reluctantly, witnessing a romantic confession. A joyful goddess with wings and a lyre led two walking stallions, and a sea of roses cascaded down from the second floor, where we diligently searched for our rare and familiar characters.
The tall Wish Tower served as my guide, but I couldn't get close. Security guards shouted and chased away anyone nearing the beach. A small path of plaza bricks became the red line between people and the sea; I was on one side, the sea on the other. The guards said we could enter at 7 am.
A sandpile announced the Second Dameisha Sand Sculpture Festival, featuring the Hulk, Shrek's Seven Monsters, Little Dance Tang San, SpongeBob, and the Mermaid. Mythology ultimately lost to Toy Story.
Under a gloomy sky, the sea appeared somewhat eerie green, with white foam washing onto the dark yellow sand. Children began to play in the sand, and girls with long hair faced the wind on Dameisha's beach. Those brave enough to swim in this weather were truly audacious. And there were the colorful winged people from my memories, poised as if to take flight from the sand.
As the sun struggled to rise through the haze, more people arrived on the beach, and it was time for me to leave.
When I saw the Eighty Steps Sea Residence, a black swan on the lake halted my steps.
🗾Location: Yantian District, Yanmei Road
🚗Transportation: Accessible by self-driving (many parking lots), subway, or bus.
🎫Tickets: The beach park is free, but the Wish Tower and sea activities require tickets.
👣Touring: Shenzhen's public venue is surrounded by mountains on three sides and faces the sea, boasting a long, high-quality sandy beach and a nearly 500-meter-long Sunshine Corridor. On the east side of the Sun Plaza, there is an 80-meter-tall Wish Tower, from which you can gaze at the undulating waves of Dapeng Bay. The park is divided into swimming, sports, barbecue (only open in summer), and entertainment areas. For those who enjoy sports, there are beach buggies, jet skiing, surfing, paddleboarding, and other water activities.
🧸Currently, the second Dameisha Sand Sculpture Festival is underway, creating a kingdom of animation on the beach. It is sure to be a favorite among children.
Now there are still people swimming and playing at the beach, do you dare to go next time? Hearts are embers. Especially the children, the resistance has not been practiced... Maybe, the seaside environmental protection will be better, but the quality of the sea water is worrying. Although it is not the reason for our Dameisha, it is passively involved. Later, the aquarium should be the last treasure.
Dameisha Seaside Park is an important attraction on the eastern Gold Coast of Shenzhen under construction. She is located on the shore of the magical and beautiful South China Sea, on the shore of Dapeng Bay, in the east of Shenzhen Special Zone, the total area of the park is 360,000 square meters, of which the beach is 1800 meters long and the total area of the beach is 180,000 square meters. Dameisha Seaside Park has condensed many domestic and foreign garden design high level design companies' efforts.
This is a particularly classic attraction in Shenzhen. It is a business card in Shenzhen. People who have been to Shenzhen must have been to Dameisha Seaside Park. It has been renovated and opened. It is free. The beach is relatively large and the water is clean. Adults, children and the elderly can come and play and swim! Be careful of sun protection. The sun on the seaside is very powerful
Wish Tower, deep sea illusion, worth going, the experience is very good
Dameisha is very crowded during weekends so I recommend coming on a weekday. Dameisha beach is free and open for all. it has multiple water showers for cleaning your feet. I also recommend going for a walk Dameisha Seashore. It’s very beautiful and refreshing.
Free attractions, very good
It's good to take a walk. The tide is very loud, the evening breeze is Buddha, there are many people, the sea area is large, and you can also set up a tent to play there. Travel types are suitable: friends travel, couples, families, and children, traveling alone. The bad thing is not to buy things in it, it is very expensive, the price is not cost-effective, you can prepare in advance.
Feeling good
