Route A is 160 yuan, Route B is 128 yuan, and the horse riding project in the scenic area is no longer open after 18:00. 🌿 Pudacuo You must go to Pudacuo early, otherwise there really isn't enough time. From entering the scenic area to leaving the scenic area, it is recommended to reserve 4 hours. The scenic area bus takes about 20 minutes to Shudu Lake, and the return trip needs to gather 25 people before it can leave. You could easily forget which country you’re in. so much livestock 🐄🐴🐑peacefully strolling and feeding from the green grass. Any nature lover will love this view. You can always dress up in the traditional attire and take pictures on/with a horse 🐎 or surrounded by yaks and other livestock. ✨Highlights: The main entrance is packed, hence 🚗driving around the lake was a better option for me. The views of the ⛰mountains and the mirror looking lake were breathtaking ❤️. I initially felt like i was going to resent my decision of driving past the main entrance filled with photographers, farmers and horses. 📍Napa Lake is located a few kilometers away from Shangri-La ancient town. Be sure to make travel arrangements in advance as transport isn’t convenient here. 🌅Ambience/Facilities -It’s great for daytime glamping ⛺️while admiring the view. We drove past a lot of cars parked alongside the road/mountain⛰ in caravans or tents; you can imagine the ambience. ✨Highlights - I had been in the province for over a week already and all I wanted was an adrenalin pumping activity; fording was the perfect impromptu activity. 💰Avg. Price per Person - Rent a 🚗4x4 or Jeep for this activity. My host gave me this experience for only 300元. Getting There - Arriving in Shangri-La, I decided to hitchhike to a local pasture land - Napa Sea, just to see how campable it is. It took about 10 minutes of walking along the road with my thumb up before a car pulled over and offered me a ride. As the driver and I started to talk more I learned that he is a local and lives right next to where I was heading. One thing that struck me was how kind he was. He kept pulling over at various picturesque stops so that I could really see, take pictures and generally enjoy the ride. Knowing that I wanted to camp out, he right away offered to drive me to an area of highland grasslands where he believed to be a great campsite. When we arrived, I was totally amazed - it overlooks the vast green meadows against the backdrop of mountains with a flat, well-drained area for pitching a tent. It’s everything that I was looking for. Having helped me set up my tent, he said goodbye and drove away just as quickly as he pulled over to pick me up, not expecting or even desiring excessive thanks from me. #camping #backpacking #hitchhiking #wintergetaway #awesomepics
