Well, the climate including warm winter and very humid air makes Guangxi province and especially it's capital Nanning city the best place for flower cultivation. They grow pretty well here. Nanning people are very creative. They made from regular flower field the expo alley decided into several thematic sections. 青秀山 aka Qing Xiu Mountain. Nanning city, Guangxi province. In fact this is the big area which comprises several hills and different gardens and primary rainforest, where you can find monuments, temples, small museums and a lot of special stuff, nature stuff. This is exactly what Guangxi treasure is! Qing Xiu Mountain has a right to be named Nanning number one scenic spot or area of tourist attractions. It is pretty easy to get there by public transportation. Do not think it gonna be quick. I have spent there seven hours without taking a break. Visiting Nanning, Qingxiu Mountain is a must-visit! The scenic area is very large, and even if you take the sightseeing car to go around, it will still be a leg-breaking pace. During the National Day holiday, plan to spend half a day at Qingxiu Mountain and go to Sanjie Liangxiang in the afternoon for some food and drinks. Therefore, enter from the north gate without going to the east gate (where there is a large amusement park), mainly to enjoy the scenery and relax. Exit from the west gate, which is conveniently located near the subway to Sanjie Liangxiang. 1 Entrance It is recommended to enter from the north gate of Qingxiu Mountain. $20 per person, buying tickets via the APP or scanning a code on-site is very convenient. 2 First Stop Orchid Garden There are many varieties of orchids with different colors and shapes, all cleverly planted in the crevices of palm leaves and branches, worth a visit! 3 Second Stop Shade Plant Garden Next to the Orchid Garden, a 10-minute walk will take you to the popular photo spot—the Shade Plant Garden. There is a mist spray every half hour for 3 minutes, which makes for very ethereal photos, and it's also very crowded. 4 Third Stop Dragon Elephant Pagoda Take the sightseeing car for 5 per person, and it takes about 10 minutes to reach the Huan Shan Xiu Ping station. You can get off and go directly up the stairs, or take the ramp next to it, which is gentler and more comfortable. After getting off, there is a lotus pond, and not far away is Huan Shan Xiu Ping. Considering that climbing the tower is physically demanding, we went to the Dragon Elephant Pagoda first, then rested at the lotus pond and lawn afterward. Climbing high for a panoramic view of the city gives a different experience of Nanning. 5 Fourth Stop Lotus Pond Coming down from the Dragon Elephant Pagoda is the Lotus Pond. For 10 yuan, you get a large pack of food to feed the koi, which children love. It's also cool to sit under the gallery, and there's another popular photo spot—the lotus pond with ancient poetry. However, the lotus leaves are mostly withered now, though some water lilies are still green and make for beautiful photos. 6 Fifth Stop Huan Shan Xiu Ping The lawn is very open, and there's a small market selling fruits, balloons, etc., at the same prices as outside. There are peacocks and turkeys strolling on the lawn. 7 Sixth Stop Osmanthus Garden From Huan Shan Xiu Ping, we took the sightseeing car to the Osmanthus Garden. Unfortunately, most of the lotus ponds have withered, and the giant water lilies are also very small and it's very sunny. Parents with children might want to skip this. We also didn't go to Peach Blossom Island on the way, as there wasn't much to see at this time. We also skipped the Guanyin Temple and the ancient and modern photo spots since the child was not interested. 8 Exit This time we didn't take the sightseeing car but a small train for 10 per person, exiting from the west gate, with the subway line 3 right at the door. We entered the park at 9:15 am and left at 2:30 pm, then went to Sanjie Liangxiang for some food and drinks.

Qingxiu Mountain Scenic Area is so so so big, it's impossible to see it all in one day, so like most people, I chose a few points of interest to visit. My choice was the classic route from the East Gate to the North Gate. 1 Monet's Water Lilies Enter from the East Gate to visit the Leaf Garden and the Aquatic Botanical Garden. The Leaf Garden is full of various colors of bougainvillea, like a sea of flowers, and then you can walk to Monet's Water Lilies, which I must say is a very faithful reproduction... (From the East Gate, turn right to reach the Aquatic Botanical Garden, I went back there after visiting the Leaf Garden) 2 Shade Plant Garden After checking in at the East Gate, take the mini-train directly to the North Gate for a fare of 10 yuan. After arriving at the North Gate, walk to the Shade Plant Garden, (follow the signs, they are very clear, and if you don't know how to go, ask the service staff, they are very enthusiastic and will tell you how to get there.) This place has tropical plants, and they spray mist every half hour, time your visit for photos. 3 Guanyin Temple Fearless Coffee Return to the North Gate mini-train stop, walk 200 meters west, buy a battery car sightseeing ticket for 5 yuan, and take the car to Guanyin Temple, where you can have a cup of Fearless Coffee. (You will pass many scenic spots along the way, and the service staff will also introduce them, if you are interested, just get off the car. Remember to sit in the last row, opposite the direction of the car's head, to get a beautiful view.) 4 Ancient and Modern Crossing After leaving Guanyin Temple, walk east to the third observation deck, about 200 meters away, in the direction of Peach Blossom Island, go downstairs, and you'll find the Ancient and Modern Crossing. You can take a photo of Nanning city and the antique buildings together. After that, return to Guanyin Temple to buy a battery car back to the North Gate. For someone as lazy as me, who would absolutely not walk if I can ride, I still ended up walking 16,000 steps in one day. All in all, the scenery is very good and definitely worth visiting.
