Century Square

Shanghai Century Plaza is located on South Century Avenue. It is the largest open-air plaza in Shanghai and a sculpture landscape plaza with the theme of time. She blends classical and modern landscaping techniques, combining the charm of Eastern and Western cultures. It connects the famous Century Avenue and Century Park ingeniously and harmoniously, and runs through Pudong in one go. Overlooking the entire square, it is symmetrically distributed, with the Century Park with beautiful water and green forests in the back, the crystal clear Science and Technology City in the east, and the powerful and upright administrative center of the new district in the west. It is like a pearl inlaid at the end of Century Avenue. It is deep and dignified, smooth and beautiful, showing the vitality and the atmosphere of the times. The entrance of the square is a large-scale landscape sculpture "Eastern Light" designed with a sundial as the prototype. 24 tons of channel steel are used to build a bench of more than 400 square meters, and the amount of stainless steel pipes is more than 6,000 meters. It faces Century Avenue to highlight the cross-century time theme. It is a combination of sculpture art language and modern high-tech architectural language, which is amazing!
