Photos of Sugar King Park

Sugar King Park is located not far south of downtown Saipan, where you can see the small train that the Japanese used to transport sugar cane on the island, and the Japanese temple left over from that year. Today, the park retains the small train that the Japanese used to transport sugar cane from all over Saipan. Its red and white locomotives are the more representative sights in the park. This eye-catching locomotive still looks relatively today. It is artistic and has a history of about seventy or eighty years. In addition, Sugar King Park has beautiful moss-covered trees, picnic tables and a Japanese shrine. You can also see the statue of the Sugar King, which is covered in bullet marks from the Battle of Saipan in World War II.
