The sand dunes of Tottori City are 16 kilometers long and 16 kilometers wide from the north to the south. It is the largest in Japan and formed by the blowing of the wind and waves of the Japanese Sea for tens of thousands of years. It is logical to take the materials in place and create the sand museum here. When I visited last year, I was just exhibiting a masterpiece of multinational sand sculpture artists. The content is varied. If you are not driving, you will have to take a bus for about half an hour. Get off at the sand museum or the Tottori sand dune and walk for a few minutes. The address is Yutangshan, Fubu, Tottori City. Opening hours 09:00-18:00. Tickets are 600 yen for adults.
