Clock Tower Review

Mandalay clock tower was built as a symbol of Mandalay City in 1909. It’s located in Corner of 26th St and 84th St. The England-made clock was substituted with Japan-made brand Seiko in 1985. Due to impact of weather, the 29-year-old second clock was substituted again with a new one by Mandalay City Development Committee in December 2014.The clock has three-foot diameters of surface. It cannot be searched in the market. Electrician U Ye Win imported parts of clock to make the clock tower. He made preparations for machinery, electronics and sound effects of the clock. The new clock tower has been installed with battery back-up system for its run.
